Something this ugly in such a beautiful desert oasis cannot be ignored. Diesel-powered pump not 20 paces upstream of the main pool. The ground all around the pump is saturated with diesel or kerosene. The pump feeds a miles-long plastic pipe for livestock at Rancho San Rocendo up the canyon. There is talk of buying the ranch owner a solar-powered pump to replace this one. If you have more information or want to assist in correcting this blight, please email Richard Grayson.
