and Pot Luck Adventure Saturday, August 23 Our Urban Paddle for August takes us to Garland for a morning paddle on Rowlett Creek. We will meet at the little parking area on the southwest side of the creek (on the right before you cross the bridge)
at 9:30am. There is no shuttle required, so we should be able to get moving down the creek by 10am. We will paddle for a couple of hours, then return to the park for our potluck lunch. Bring tables and chairs as this park is pretty lightly equipped. As usual bring enough food for your group, plus a little to share. Bring plenty of liquids as well as it is sure to be hot.
DIRECTIONS From I635 coming from Richardson or Carrollton, Exit at Miller Rd and follow it to Rowlett Creek (just past Centerville Rd.). From I635 coming from South Dallas or Mesquite, Exit at Centerville Rd. and follow to Miller Rd. Turn right on Miller and follow to the Creek.
