White Rock Lake is the location for the July 19 Moonlight Float trip. Due to the uncertainty of water releases on the Brazos and the high cost of fuel, we have decided to experiment with having our moonlight paddle trips a little closer to home. Hopefully, this will encourage greater participation and perhaps even allow us to be on the water a little longer than when we are on the Brazos.
Bring dinner and beverages for yourself, a camp chair and a headlamp - we WILL be paddling after dark. We will have dinner on the bank by Corinthian Saling Club around 6:00 PM before launching. Technically, we are required by law to have a white light, visible from 360 degrees, on each boat after dark. At the very least, bring a headlamp, glow stick or some other illumination souce. Due to construction in Trinity Park in Fort Worth the July Moonlight Float is being moved, again. The new location is White Rock Lake. We will meet by the Corinthian Sailing Club at 6:00 p.m. Tom will have our lunch/dinner under the shady trees in the big thicket area. Then we will have a paddle once it gets dark. The Corinthian is located on E. Lawther Dr. off of Buckner. Sorry for the change again. If you have any questions, please let me know.
