WE WANT YOUR HELP! These pages are a free riversport information resource. These are your pages. We need your input here on the bulletin board to keep these pages current and to let others know what is happening on (and to) our rivers in the Southwest. Please share your experiences, your trip reports, new web links, river conditions, etc. If you find any dead or changed links, let us know. What trips are happening? What paddling clinics are planned? Got a boat or some gear for sale? This is the place to let others know about it. The City of Dallas is trying to force the building of two needless reservoirs in East Texas that threaten to drown the Sulphur River and the Upper Neches River forest land before the US Fish and Wildlife Service can get it designated as a National Wildlife Refuge. Read the article and then contact City Hall to express your displeasure and objections!
Additional information about environmental matters locally and nationally can be found on the "Environment" section of this web site, which includes links to activist groups that can keep you informed about problems and put you in contact with the appropriate city, state and federal leaders who have oversight into these matters. A couple of critical Texas environmental issues are brewing, and your personal involvement is needed to help set the direction for where future environmental efforts lead us. Details are on the Environmental page and a subpage at the Current Texas Issues link. For problems, suggestions or other matters relating to this web site, its function or contents please e-mail the webmaster.
