On September 14, 2002, the Dallas DownRiver Club sponsored the Seventh Annual Trinity River Challenge. Over 85 boats were entered in the race. The TRC was held on the Elm Fork of the Trinity River, an 11.0 mile race from McInnish Park in Carrollton to Hebron Expressway and return. After the race, TRC volunteers served barbecue brisket and raffled off many neat prizes donated by these sponsors. (Galyan's donated a canoe this year!)
